This semester, I allowed my students to choose any English name they desired. No restrictions. Here are a few that are worth sharing (in no particular order):

• Bean Raden (I'm pretty sure he was going for "Bin Laden")

• Hillary (a boy)
• Blizzard (ironically, his Korean name is 문손, kinda similar to "monsoon")
• ABCD
• Undertaker
• Itts
• Matilda

The top prize goes to two:

1. Linda (which is fairly mundane except for the fact that it belongs to a big, hulking boy at least six feet tall)
2. God
